Disclaimer
As you can see, this is not a commercial website and, obviously, it's a non-profit site. I do not sell rifles, I am only a collector.
Please consider that collecting milsurplus firearms is not so easy in Italy... every rifle or handgun must be certified (this started in the year 1980) by an organization called "Banco di Prova Nazionale", and before importing a new kind of rifle or handgun, the importer must ask a permission to the Ministry, and this procedure takes many months (and much money!), and very often the Ministry does not authorize to import that kind of firearm.
So... you can't see in Italy some rifles that you see in other countries, like the Spanish Cetme rifle, or the italian Beretta BM 59 rifle.
And now... let's speak about the copyright... when I began to build this website, some months ago, I was working very far from my home. I had a pair of CD-rom with some infos collected in some years, looking in the milsurplus-related websites of all the world, I had with me about twenty books about milsurplus rifles (only one in italian... because there is ONLY one book in italian strictly about milsurplus rifle collecting!)... and I had my laptop computer.
So... I began to write the website and sometimes I found very interesting pages that I translated into italian, but I did not know who wrote them, if they were copyrighted or free... in some cases I found the same data in different pages taken from different websites.
In these cases, I ever wrote at the beginning of the page, in italian, that the page was not my job, but I only translated it into italian and when I had the original web address, I put the link on the page, indicating the language of the original website (so, if the original page was in german, and the visitor of my site spoke german, he could visit the original website).
Where I found an email address, I asked to the author the permission to publish the translated (or original, in some cases) page.
So, if you find in my site a page that you wrote, please feel free to write to me asking what you prefer:
- I can totally delete the page
- I can delete the page indicating only the original link where to find the original page
- I can add to the page the credit to the author and indicate the link of the original page, adding some infos of your interest.
In my personal opinion, I think that copyright, between collectors, does not permit to share the knowledge, and... it is not good. But it's only my humble opinion.
So, I will continue to ask the permission to translate and publish the pages that I find on other websites (where I find the email address where to ask the permission).
But if you find here something that I wrote, or if you like the images of my firearms, please feel free to use them as you prefer without asking any kind of permission, publishing it in your non-commercial website or, in case of texts, if you prefer, translating them in the language that you prefer.
If you want to contact me, you can freely email to me.
